She was born March 29th 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her name at birth. Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican daughter from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson is born in Mexico. She has Mexican roots, yet is American as a national. Since she was a child she's always had a strong determination to be involved in sports. Gerina started playing golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina completed her high school education at Goddard High School. In high school she won the state championship golf tournament in New Mexico. In addition, she was a volleyball player and competed at the national level. 2003, she began studying in The University of Texas. During the senior period of her career she was the winner of every event where she played. In her undergraduate year, she received Conference USA's individual player of season and UTEP's Female Athletic of Year.
